Her areas of specialization are postcolonial studies, contemporary American literature, multiethnic American literature, and disability studies. She is especially focused on US imperialism and neocolonial discourses in American literature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/labelmelatin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Keishla-Rivera-Lopez-Puerto-Rican-Diasporic-Novels-Witnessing-State-Violence-and-Contesting-Freedom.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Puerto Rican Diasporic Novels: Witnessing State Violence and Contesting Freedom in Nicholasa Mohr&#8217;s Felita and Nilda<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>By <\/strong><strong>Keishla Rivera-Lopez<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Keishla (Kay-shla) Rivera-Lopez<\/strong> is a writer, poet, and scholar. She received a PhD in American Studies at The Graduate School-Newark at Rutgers University where she was awarded the 2019-2020 Dean\u2019s Dissertation Fellowship to finish her dissertation project titled \u201cWriting Freedom: Puerto Rican Women\u2019s Literary Conceptualizations of Motherhood and Memory Beyond Archives.\u201d She was born and raised in Newark, NJ to Puerto Rican migrants and reflects on what it means to be a child of diaspora in her scholarship and writing. Currently, Dr. Rivera-Lopez is a National Endowment for the Humanities Postdoctoral Fellow in American Studies at Montclair State University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/labelmelatin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Yamicela-Torres-Mollinedo-El-espacio-en-Las-aventuras-de-don-Chipote-o-cuando-los-pericos-mamen-de-Daniel-Venegas.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Las aventuras de don Chipote o cuando los pericos mamen<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>By <\/strong><strong>Yamicela Torres Mollinedo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Yamicela Torres Mollinedo <\/strong>has a degree in Spanish and Literature and a Masters in Communicative Teaching of Spanish and Literature from the Felix Varela Pedagogical University, Santa Clara, Cuba. She also has an MA in Arts in Spanish from Florida International University. She has worked as a Spanish teacher in Cuba, Brazil, and the United States.\u00a0She currently works as Lecturer in Spanish at the University of Miami. Her work is informed by her Indigenous ancestry, Mesoamerican philosophy, Mexika &amp; Mixtec art, Mexican culture, Raza history, and her experiences as an Indigenous Mexican Chicana woman. She served as 2021 Creative Ambassador of the San Jos\u00e9 Office of Cultural Affairs and has facilitated generative poetry workshops for universities and non-profit organizations. Elizabeth earned a BFA in Art and a BA in French from San Jos\u00e9 State University. He is a retired full professor from the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley, Brownsville campus.
